“Physical Disability & The Embodied Experience” acts as an example on how medical communicators’ can use video to help facilitate information and awareness. I have created this video which has been tailored to physical disability and the embodied experience which works to help educate others on this concept and how we can take action. The following video credits participants Visiting Assistant Professor & Therapist in Private Practice, Katharine Wenocur & Counselor, Casey Donlan who speak out in regards to physical disability.
There are many video streaming services in which these can be posted on. To help educate YouTube, Facebook & Instagram TV are staples in reaching high volumes of people all at once. They create a conversation between patients who might be experiencing similar paths. This is an easy way to establish a community between medical communicators, patients, caregivers, physicians and nonprofits.
